Bola's Flowers

Bola!! My girl… my fashion sistah…. my sounding board…. my hype woman…. I want to give you your flowers. The story of how we met is totally in sync with the rise of technology. And now look a us!!! So let’s take a moment to thank instagram for bringing us together. You were the fashionable lady who lived in New York…and I was the super random lady in Seattle. And we managed to create a bond that can only be described as divine.

We travel together, laughed together, walked on a dark beach in Mexico while a small shell punctured your foot together and let me not forget the MAJOR one. You brought me into the folds of the Miss Nigeria USA pageant world. You trusted in who I was and introduced me to your friends/team and the rest is history. (Let me not get emotional… I love those contestants and I always get sad when pageant week is over!!!)

Thank you for flying from Houston to Seattle to help me with the Northwest Naturals Expo. Honestly having you here was great. Even when we are beefing in the car about me being an ‘EventZilla’…. I’m working on it. The best part about that moment was going inside the restaurant and eating amazing food together. Yes…. and the bananas. WHY WERE THERE SO MANY BANANAS that weekend you were here? First at the Amazon building and then at the restaurant to help save my legs! LOL!

You have one to the biggest hearts I’ve ever come across. The way that you care about your friends and family is beautiful to watch and see. You are your mother’s child… she raised you to be a strong, radiant and compassionate woman. So I thank her as well for all that she instilled within you as you carry on her legacy.

Your smile lights up any room you walk into. And your laugh is so contagious. Thank you for not abandoning me as we walked the streets of Brooklyn while I was shouting out… ‘BROOKLYN’ in the worst New York accent ever. You just walked a few paces in front of me so I wouldn’t bring you too much shame and embarrassment. But you didn’t run away… and that’s all that matter.

I love you Bola and I am thankful you are in my life. God knew what he was doing when he aligned us to become friends! I give you flowers today, tomorrow and always. Let’s continue to create new memories in foreign lands. Thank you for being you!

Your Flowers…. XOXO
