Jeannawade's Flowers

My dear sweet friend… I want to give you these flowers! I used to think you had super powers to walk around our college campus and seemingly never feel the actual cold. Everyone would be bundled up to head to ‘Mikes’ and you… you’d be just fine. I’m still impressed but such a feat. Little did we know you had the heart of Te Fiti burning from within! It all makes sense now!!!

The fact that our friendship connected me into the Polynesian community will always be a reason to celebrate. THANK you for bringing me along to the Polynesian Club at Washington State University. My African self honestly had no reason to be there or be voted into a leadership role. However, that Polynesian Night that was planned was epic… was it not!?!? I think yes, and I met some of the coolest people. And that stemmed into years later. Look at us now!!

You have been there for ALL of the varies waves that we sailed across. From the piggyback squat challenge during my Holiday party to me throwing you a baby shower because I had to work on your actual baby shower day. So who wouldn’t throw another one and invite the college crew to celebrate you? I have loved capturing your growing family throughout the years. You are the cool mom x 100! Yes, I always joke that I want you to adopt me so I can join in on the fun crafts, activities and adventures you take your kiddos on. You have taught me about my nervous reaction quirk. I still can’t believe I had no idea I laugh when in tough situations, but it makes sense when people say… “you’re always laughing and smiling”. It’s a broken response people… it’s not normal! LOL! I’m working on it!

Girl… you’re the best social media manager the Northwest Naturals Expo has EVER had! I can always count on you to get the best footage each year. You have supported me on crazy ideas since day one. I remember the event that was thrown at WSU for the ‘lil Hommies… who would have thought things would continue to build and so strong afterwards. You mean the world to me and our friendship is one of the cornerstone pieces that has helped me become the woman I am today.

I must add in… my Pink Summer Soirée party in 2018…. the way you danced and lived it up that night will always be burned into my memory. That and we have video footage that will always remind us of the fun from that night. It’s fun to see how the parties have evolved over the years and how they are always enhanced when your energy is present there.

Thank you for being in my inner circle. Thank you for never giving up on yourself when the world seemed to be coming for you. Thank you for choosing me to capture the milestones in your family’s life. Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for being the baddest Samoan/Dominican mix I have EVER met! I love you… and you deserve all the flowers!

Your Flowers… XOXO
